Hey gang, we’ve just released yet another update to Directory Submitter. All of the new features are the awesome suggestions we’ve gotten from the absolutely fantastic community of Directory Submitter users here. So great job! And keep those feature requests etc. coming!

And here’s a list of the new features for this new version:
1. Two new columns have been added to the software. They are “Category” and “Title”.
2. An auto-save option has been implemented: Every 15 seconds program saves all user data, so incase of a PC freeze or power outage, you will not lose any of your data.
3. We’ve added a new auto-rotate feature. Now, if you have more than 1 title and description entered into your project information screen, Directory Submitter will rotate between each of the titles and descriptions combinations every other directory. Simply check the check box to enable this feature.
4. We’ve added a new “Report Directory Error” context menu so you can let us know if there is a “faulty” directory in the software that does not load. This way we can keep a very updated list for all users.
5. When new directories are added to our database, you will be notified on software startup. This way you can download the latest list of directories to your software.
6. And last, but not least, we’ve added more than 500 new directories, both free and paid AND speciality directories to the software!

Great additions to an already useful piece of software. It would be real great if ther were a column that we could check to say that the submission was accepted or declined. Also a column that we could enter the url of the accepted submission and a way of checking that it still exists. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
Great software! I agree with what Chris says above with the features that he suggests for future updates. I think it would be great if there was a way to export submission data and reports. Overall I’m very pleased with the software, and look forward to seeing what comes in future updates. Thanks!
Hey Jason. You’re in luck. We just added the option to import AND export… There are now 2 new buttons located to the right of the “refresh” button in the bottom frame.
1 button to import and 1 button to export.
Simply open up Directory Submitter and you’ll be prompted to download the update for the next version

Great software ! Would be nice if there was an editable field for brief comments that would be visible and available to all projects.

I just want to make sure. If I add my own directories, would they be merged with updated data OR completely replaced when I do an update?
The same question also for the import and export feature. When I import something, will it be merged or replaced?

Great piece of software - Again!!!
but can you extend the description field so it accepts a description of more than 260 characters as some directories in the free list require descriptions longer than 200 or even 300 characters.
Also can you find some way to stop the field been auto completed again - after the form submit button has been pressed, are the directory’s server has rejected the form data for some reason - so we don’t has to start editing all the fields again - especially important in the ones that require over 200 character descriptions

Brad, how do we take previous spreadsheets that we have used for directory submission and import them into dir. submitter so we will not duplicate our past efforts.
And if you can add a field for notes, that way we can add something like.. paid $20 for this, etc.
Another great feature would be to either add PR button so we can see the PR on our page we want listed on. this is more important for paid directories. Or if that doesnt work, add a browser address bar so we can then copy and paste the url into our main browswer to check the pr page.
other than that, love this!! wish i would have gotten it sooner than i did.

I am a Bryxen Software fan but honestly when I got got your email
about the Directory Article Submitter, I thought how good can it be
its FREE.
Well last night I tried it and i was AMAZED. Even the first through
setting up accounts I was able to submit 8 articles in 90 minutes.
Next time it will be much faster because accounts are setup.

Excellent work, its really a wonderful software very useful to all webmasters. Is there any option to generate a report with exact url of the directories where we have submitted? If not I would suggest to add this option.

Hi Brad,
I tried to submit a new directory to be included in the software but I don’t know if it was successful in being sent as there was no confirmation or error message after clicking on the submit button.

Michael, you’ll typically receive an email directly from the directory telling you when you’re link has been accepted. Many will accept immediately, but if not, check your email, as you’ll likely receive an email from the directory owner very soon.

Hello everyone. I LOVE this software and I can’t wait until P3 is revealed. If I get a guess, I’d like to say it is going to have something to do with social bookmarking which would be awesome. I’m sure Brad’s got something great up his sleave. I love my SEO Elite and Keyword Elite and use it daily now.
BTW… I also left a directory suggestion og http://www.whoisdomains.info and didn’t get any feedback to say it was submitted or not either. It offers a free 1-way link to a solid PR3 site anyways.

Is there another update to the software coming up? Some of the formerly free directories have changed to paid listings; others don’t seem to be around anymore. Would like the ability to edit the list (if it’s already there, I’ve missed it and I apologize). Still the best software around!
I downloaded the trial version with 350 directories, and when i do a right click on a directory list it gives me the possibility to ad a new directory, and i ad it and the new directory appears.There is a message that now there are 351 directories . But when i turn of the software and open it next time, new directories that i aded are deleted…is there a way to ad directories in standard version of directory submitter? Thanks

Brad, thanks for this awesome piece of software! I am using it daily for some time now, and I can say that my sites are slowly, but steadily surfacing up in search engine results pages (SERPs).
Word of advice to all webmasters and marketeers: the best way to use directory submitter is to use it for like 10 minutes EVERY day per site. 10 minutes or 20 submits.

I came across this website while searching for ‘directory submitter’ software on Google. I’ll try this cool software for my sites.
I also wonder if you could add feature of “distributed submission”, which means that the software automatically distribute the submission process across a period of time. So instead of submitting the site to 500 numbers of directories one time, we could submit it to only 10 directory everyday - for 50 days - automatically. I believe Search Engine will love this.

what would be nice is if directory submitter had a feature where it can generate a report of all the directories that you have submitted too and save it in a pdf format. This would also be very cool if you could customize that report to have your own company details and logo put in. This is kind of like the IBP software.
