Hi Brad, been using Directory Submitter tonight and I must say I am impressed. Maybe I’ll even buy the full version! A couple of improvements would be nice:-
1.The ability to modify the Last Submitted date. If you try to submit to a directory that only takes 50 submissions a day and your, say 51 then you have not submitted but the software still enters the Last Submitted date as today. Please can you make it so that we can delete or modify this date.
2.It would be nice if it showed the link text and description that you submitted, as I have several different link texts and descriptions.
Anyway, well done, this is a very useful addition to my SEO amoury! Cheers.

Would you recommending submitting specific pages within a url to the directories as opposed to just the home page - i.e. your home page might be about ABC and you have a page in the site which is more specialised about OPQ - would you recommend setting up a project for both or is it best to ONLY submit your home page ?

Any chance of adding a section stating the type of directory it is that you are about to submit to - i.e. letting us know if it is specific to the project which is being submitted ?
Just thought it would be helpful if we could view the types of directories in a column of their own.

Also, is there any chance of adding a backup facility to ensure all the data can be backed up for moving onto a reformatted HDD ?

can keep out the dead links and keeping it fresh as you

I am having no problems finding and submitting our Real Estate sites in these directories.
Suggestions:
1) Would be nice to be able to UN-SELECT the “Last Submitted” date if a site submission is in-complete.
2) Would be nice to add some NOTES for some sites on the main screen (New last column called NOTES)

Because I submitted to one directory and something got wrong. So I just want to remove the submission date, not the directory. Is there a way?

Thanks for this wonderful piece of software. I work with the Pro version. And you build in a update function too as I just noticed - really great!
Brad here are some suggestions for better performance and improvement:
1) Allow several submission streams (since directories loading times vary) - in my opinion 3 to 5 are sufficient - that will actually safe time
2) Allow to submit several websites ( projects) at once - I know many directories have no limits yet - just a few - and since one is with that directory already - why not?
3) Please go to digixmas.com - they implemented some nice features in their service about semi-automatic category selection
4) Build a directory update function with which directories that does not exist any longer are removed and new one’s added automatically
5) With the own address function - please add country - you have customers from aborad as well.
6) Why not start a own blog just for suggestions and proposals
7) I believe that a directory online submission based on member ship (one time submission for 1 month / and life-time) would be preferable in respect of updates and improvements. It would make things much easier.

Hi Brad,
Your submitter is great, works very intuitive.
A nice extra feature would be:
If you could add an extra column, where we can write the data when our website was approved and added. (we know this because most of the directories will send an email confirming that our website was aproved and added).
With this extra feature we can see which directories are adding websites fast and which ones are slow. This allows us to plan our submissions better and also we can see exactly in which directories our website is added.
Please consider this feature, it will be very usefull.

This is one of the easiest submitter I’v used but more than half timr t dors not fillin the key words even if you click on that box and hit fill nothing. So I still have a lot of typing.

Hey Brad & all the DS users,
Top Tip… so I was hoping to list my site on some specific travel directories without having to go through all the various categories on each directory but rather use more targetted directories for my category… which is obviously travel and then select region country etc for the category I wanted to list for.
So imagine my surprise when I googled travel directories, clicked on a few links and thought … hmm I wonder… could it quite possibly work. Dragged the link straight into DS browser and hey presto, it prefilled it. Now obviously if you are going to search for more targetted directories they may not be free, but hey every little helps.
So would it be possible to add a location bar to DS Brad?

I submitted sites today. Works really slick. However, the software would not allow me to change the description and keyword information on the fly in the directory sites. I would change the wording, but
Directory Submitter would change it back again. I had to browse to some sites directly, and then add my info by hand. Hopefully, this can be corrected in future version.
yes it’s great indeed, but doesn’t seo elite has a feature that does just that?

Wow! If only I’d found this tool many websites ago! This is extremely useful and I plan to upgrade TODAY!
For a Gold version it would sure rock to be able to enter our current list of directory url’s into it!
Nice tool Brad - only just started playing but two of the first six sites required a payment! It would be really nice if there was an easy way to flag these for removal. Also, one of the other submission involved registering, confirming, changing password and then submitting, etc - a bit long winded - so it would be really useful if there was something like an ‘ease of submission’ categorization scale or directories requiring an identical submission approach being grouped together for ease of sorting. Just and idea!
Good luck with it all. The usefulness will be in the quality of the list and it being kept up to date.

Hi All,
Just another quick tip….. dont go too mad with submitting, to too many directories at once. It is considered by a few that getting backlinks too quickly too often may get you flagged by the search engines.
Consider how regular you would like to submit to directories, so for instance daily ( not recommended) or weekly ( reccomended, give a day or too) or monthly ( more likely the safest option possibly)
Once you have decided the frequency to submit to directories, make sure you are consistent and stick to a general figure of say 8 - 15 directories.
Remember that some directories will not approve you straight away and may take a day or two to list you and some may even take weeks. If you keep your consistency light and your frequency regular you should be able to see consistent submissions of one or two directories every other day and this will not look too odd.
Consider your backlink submissions in the long term…. hitting for 200 directories this week and no more for another month or too may hurt you.
Dont forget one way backlinks are great, but you need to mix it up with recipricols, one way outbounds, and plenty of insite links.

I like your software Brad. To date it seems to be working great. I decided to use 2 different services for my site. I used the Directory Submitter software and a paid Web Directory Submission Service. The jury’s still out as to my preferred method because the Service said it would be at least another 2 weeks before I know my results.
To date, I’m finding advantages as well as disadvantages to both methods.
Submission Services are faster but you have no control as to the quality of the directories your site is submitted. I’m leaning towards the software just because of this. I think I prefer slower but higer quality submissions through Directory Submitter rather than faster lower quality ones with Services. The work may be a little more but it will pay off in the long term.

This is fantastic….wow is all there is to say about the submitter. Easy and fast. Having the ability to change the anchor text, description and more is great. I will be moving up the search ranks rather fast now and with SEO elite on the side, I can’t lose…
It would be nice to have blog directories for blog submission and RSS submission to RSS directories in the future upgrades.

Also it would be nice to have an auto fill tool bar that you can just click and it would be added to your clip board and then just paste were you want like

You will notice that not all the times the boxes auto fill and when that happens this would be a great feature.
I would also like to add coments on each site I submit to. Maybe I like the site and want to add a comment about it for my own personal reference or I may dislike a site and never want to submit to it again.
I drop down box would be nice to have for sites. as of now it gives the last time it was submitted but I would like a few options like submitted | verified | skipped

I simply had no clue that all of these directories existed, nonetheless that one could submit to them. I just spent two full days submitting to the 350 (didn’t get the 150 upgrade to 500 directories I downloaded) complimentary list of initial directories. That was a LOT of work. Can’t imagine how tedious it would have been without your automated software. I am impressed, and will be more so when it starts having an impact upon my Google rankings. Plan to upgrade to Gold 1,800 directories tomorrow, and purchase one of your other tools.
No need to reinvent the wheel, and glad there is a trustable source to guide me ,,,, albeit for a well worth it fee!

Very brilliant software you got here.
Few suggestions or request.
1.
For the Category, Is there anyway that the software Directory Sumitter will sort of “remember” or give us “hint” of the category that we usually use for a certain project or website. It is kind of confusing and eye-straining to look for does categories again and again.
2.
One thing more, is there a way you can add a feature (like color red, green indicator) where we can monitor if we are currently link or not link to that directory, like the same feature you got in LINKMETRO.

Thank you for given us this great tool…the Directory submitter..:)
Last week I was using it to get some links to one of my PR0 websites and now I have got those links to my website. You know what, I got a PR3 and PR4 website linking back to my sites. At the same time my website is now can be found on the 1st page of google search result for one of my main keywords with over 1.3 millions other competing websites.
I think for a PR0 website can make it this far is quite amazing….! Again, thank you for your kindness so far.

So far so good. This has really helped in submitting my site with minimum typing. Good thing since I’m a lousy typer !
One thing though I goofed and deleted a Directory instead of Clear submit Info. Think there’s a way to have deleted Directories cached some where or a confirmation you want to delete?

I aimed at “reciprocal link directory” - my site : DigitalAwol.com is now number 16 out of 1.3 million results in Google - The system I used was very easy- your software saving where I was at was the major help as I was able to start each day where I left off- Just love it- couldn’t give it a higher recomendation.

First the comment, then a question. COMMENT: Directory Submitter is right up there with the rest of the Brad Callen programs…Excellent. Now the QUESTION: Am I the only one having problems with the Website Directories? They don’t scroll smoothly, they’ll run fine for a little bit, then stop, and you have to sit and wait until they are ready to go again… especially when trying to find a category. When they finally let you get to the place to click on what you want, it is time to sit and wait more. This is taking a great deal of time and I’m nearly 75 years old. I want to be sure there is enough time to get all my sites submitted!!! Joking, of course, but is this a problem unique to me, or has some one found a way to get around this problem? Thanx tons for any help.

Hey! This is a great tool and a great list of directories.
I have a question about using this on multiple computers. I do about 1/3 of my work on my laptop. Is there some way I can synchronize two versions of my project so Directory Submitter 1 “knows” what Directory Submitter 2 has submitted? I have a network sync program that I use, but I am not sure which file(s) to synch to accomplish this, or if it will even work.
